After the very beautiful Safari trip we made our way (three days in buses and a ferry!) to the paradise of Zanzibar and were welcomed by very good vibes. All the stories I have heard about this island were about the beautiful beaches, palm trees and luxury resorts but once we set foot on Zanzibar we immediately felt there was much more to discover. We decide to do the thing that most people told us not to do and stay in Stone Town, the biggest ‘city’ of Zanzibar. Walking around the small alleyways and talking to local people we felt very welcome. Due to it being Ramadan, especially after sundown people came out to eat on the streets and have a good time. The next days we rented a motorbike to explore some more off-the-beaten-track parts of the island and we were not disappointed. Everywhere we drove, people greeted us with smiles and screamed Mambo! (hello!). We stopped along the way, talked to people, played soccer with the local kids, took a dip in the crystal clear waters and just had a really good time! I can keep talking but I rather show you the photos to let them speak! I hope you enjoy them 🙂
